Privacy Policy
How we handle your data, in plain English.
Effective 17 May 2026.
This policy covers abrarabusreyel.com, the blog at abrarabusreyel.com/blog, and any developer applications operated by Abrar Abusreyel under the Cavaliq umbrella, including the LinkedIn cross-posting integration that publishes new blog posts to the operator’s own LinkedIn profile.
The short version: this site collects almost nothing. The longer version is below.
What we collect
When you visit abrarabusreyel.com, your browser sends standard request data (IP address, user agent, referring URL, page requested) to Cloudflare, which serves the site. Cloudflare uses this data for security, caching, and traffic analytics. We do not store this data ourselves.
If you submit your email through the newsletter form on the blog, we receive your email address and use it solely to send you new blog posts. We do not sell, share, or rent that email address.
We do not use third-party analytics, advertising networks, or pixel trackers. There is no Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, or similar embedded on this site.
Cookies
This site uses one cookie-equivalent value, stored in your browser’s local storage, that records whether you have dismissed the cookie consent banner. That is it. No tracking cookies, no advertising cookies, no cross-site identifiers.
The LinkedIn cross-posting integration
Abrar operates a small developer application registered with LinkedIn, used solely to publish her own blog posts to her own LinkedIn profile when new content is published. The application:
- Reads the public RSS feed at abrarabusreyel.com/blog/rss.xml.
- Posts new items as shares to Abrar’s personal LinkedIn profile using the
w_member_socialscope. - Stores nothing about anyone else. No user data, no audience data, no third-party identifiers.
The application does not interact with other LinkedIn members’ data in any way.
How long we keep what we have
Newsletter subscribers: until you unsubscribe or request removal. Email Abrar at the address below and your email will be removed within seven days.
Server logs at Cloudflare: per Cloudflare’s standard retention, which is documented at cloudflare.com/privacypolicy.
Your rights
You can ask, at any time, what data we hold about you, request a copy of it, ask us to correct or delete it, or ask us to stop processing it. Email the address below. We respond within seven days.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect data from them.
Changes
If we change this policy in a substantive way, we will update the effective date at the top of the page. Material changes that affect how existing subscribers’ data is used will be communicated by email before they take effect.
